This week our service opportunity includes handouts for “Operation Christmas Child” (http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/OCC/Drop_Off_Locations/).  The following week, we will collect the shoebox gifts at our house and deliver them to the Sherwood collection center.

Praise God!   We are serving dinner at Aloha United Methodist Church (Directions at end of post).   Please continue praying for the families and our community group.

02/18/09 – Wednesday Night Dinner – at the Johnson’s at 7:00 pm

Hello Colossae Sherwood Community, the Harris family is out of town this week.  We are out of town visiting my mother at the hospital.  She went in for emergency surgery last week, yesterday, she was moved from the ICU to a room in a regular ward at the hospital.  Praise God, she is recovering and please lift her up during your pray time during the day, her name is Evaliene.  She has battled with Crohn’s Disease for about 40 years.  Currently, she is recovering from surgery to repair a hole in her stomach (9 inches in circumference).   Thank you

We look forward to our Wednesday night fellowship.  Please be in prayer for another brother in Christ’s family and specifically for his young nephew who is in the ICU at the hospital .  I do not have more information to share other than, prayer for healing and restoration of his nephew and protection for his family during this time.  Thank you!

Please be in prayer for the Henderson family (Ryan and Emily).  Emily took a full throttle spill on her dirt bike this weekend and goes in for wrist surgery on Monday of next week.  In addition, she is nursing a hip fracture, which is extremely painful.  Please continue to lift them up during your prayer time.  We will coordinate, at community group, delivery of meals to the Henderson family.

01/27/10 – 6:30 pm -Wednesday Potato Bar Dinner at the Harris Family Home

Welcome Colossae Sherwood Families and Guests, 

Please continue to meditate and live out our message this weekend from 1 Peter 3:1-7.  What a great opportunity to both the married and single women in or church body.  Men, please continue to pray and encourage our sisters this week as they meditate on God’s word.  We look forward to our fellowship this Wednesday.

Important remidner for Wednesday!  If you plan to give to the food bank, please bring your contributions (food or clothes) to community group this week.  We will deliver to Wes this week.

As for dinner,  we plan to serve a baked potato bar for dinner and we’ll provide Baked Potatoes, Napkins, Plastic Utensils, Cups, Drinks.

 If you are able to provide a side, please sign up for one of the following (enough to serve 20 people)

• Butter
• Cheese
• Sour Cream
• Bacon
• Taco Meat (Cooked)
• Dessert
• Paper Plates

As for dinner,  Jason and Stephanie plan to prepare Stir Fry for dinner and Napkins, Paper Plates, Plastic Utensils, Cups, Drinks will be provided.
