1/28/09 – Service Week – 6:30 Dinner at Aloha United Methodist Church

Praise God!   We are serving dinner at Aloha United Methodist Church (Directions at end of post).   Please continue praying for the families and our community group.

Please sign up to purchase and or prepare one of the following from our list.

Potato Salads – 2
Green Salads – 2
Dessert – 3
Cups –1 ( 30+ count)
Plates – 1 (30+ count)
Napkins – 1 (30+ count)

Format and Schedule for the dinner:

1. 5:30-5:45, Arrive at Church (Please prepare food prior to arrival)
2. 5:45-6:00, Prepare plates and tables.
3. 6:15-6:30, Server plates to families then serve and prepare food for our group.

There will be about 13 adults and 4 children at the church plus our group 10-15 total.  So please plan accordingly.  We will server barbecue chicken sandwiches.

DRIVING FROM THE DAY HOUSE (in Hillsboro):

Head SOUTH (toward Baseline) on SE 6^th Avenue. Go two blocks to SE Oak Street/OR-8 East.  Turn LEFT on Oak Street and get in the right-hand lane.  Turn slight right onto SE 10^th Avenue/OR-8.

Continue to follow OR-8.  Turn LEFT onto SW 198^thAvenue inAloha. Driving North (towards Baseline), the Aloha United Methodist Church is about .5 miles up 198^th on the RIGHT SIDE (just past Johnson Street and Sandra Lane).

CHRISTmas celebratioin for tonight is on!  Nick has offered to shuttle anybody stranded from the snow, you can reach him at 805-444-7349

 

Welcome Colossae Sherwood Community Members, we (home phone:  503.925.0204)  plan to have Christmas Dinner this Wednesday night at 7:00 pm. However, due to the snow, a final update will be posted to the Blog Wednesday day to confirm or cancel the party, please check back after 9:00 am on Wednesday.

If the party goes forward as planned, please bring your Operation Christmas Child gifts. If we have snow on the hill and you’d like to sled, wear warm clothes and bring your sled, we may take a few trips down the hill.  Also, we will serve dinner, Baked Ham and Mashed Potatoes, please post a comment to provide one of the following:
